Numerous studies have shown that lead exposure can result in damage to the nervous, hematopoietic, endocrine, renal and reproductive systems, causing lifelong physical and mental health problems. Children are particularly susceptible to the effects of lead as their nervous systems are still developing.

The LeadCare II equipment assists in determining the level of lead in whole blood samples. It uses an electrochemical technique called Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (ASV), with results in just 3 minutes.
