Head of the global R&D of PENOX, Rainer is located in Germany. Responsibilities include basic research, developing new materials, scientific collaborations, and technical support for the battery industry. He joined PENOX in the year 2018. Previously, he worked as Director and head of R&D at EXIDE Technologies in Europe and has worked in the battery business for over 10 years. Rainer holds a PhD. in chemistry and has a background as a public researcher, working between 2001 and 2009 at the Universities of Bonn, the TU München, and the Center of Applied Energy Research (ZAE) in Bavaria , Germany.
